Cannes juror Uma Thurman has been looking pretty swell on the festival's red carpet. Stylist Anna Bingemann, who's been working with the star on her many Cannes looks, stopped by our office today to talk about the process of dressing the movie star. "I tend to go towards European designers; it's a natural instinct," she explained, adding that she has chosen Chanel and Versace (at left) for recent events. Bingemann also worked with Pucci's Peter Dundas on two outfits especially for Thurman (she hasn't worn them yet, but look for them later in the festival!) And for those who doubt the power of red carpet placement: the star has been accessorizing with Chopard jewelry, and after she sported their earrings to the party, they'd already been snapped up by an eager buyer.

Bingemann, who's worked with Thurman for five years and has dressed Gwyneth Paltrow and Naomi Watts, also talked about her work on the fashion council of jewelry line Chamilia, which is a luxe take on the typical add-a-bead formula. The native Aussie recently brought the concept to a baby shower back home, where she said, "everybody bought a bead and blessed it, so the baby will have blessings from his mum's best friends."
